Emma Gioffre '23 Signs To Play Soccer At University Of Cincinnati

Emma has been a varsity starter and stand out on the Archmere Girls Soccer Team for the past three seasons, scoring 41 goals and adding 24 assists. A captain both junior and senior year, she was also a two-time First Team All-State and First Team All-Conference Player for the Auks. In her junior season, she was in the Top XI, Diamond State Conference Player of the Year, and was named a Regional All-American. 

Outside of Archmere, Emma has played for the ECNL Team at Penn Fusion Soccer Academy since 2020. In 2022, Penn Fusion was ranked a Top 25 ECNL Girls Club in the country. This past year, her team qualified for the top bracket of the ECNL National Finals and advanced to the Sweet 16. 

In addition to soccer, Emma has been an integral force on the Varsity Field Hockey Team since her freshman year. As a junior, she was First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-State, and named Honorable Mention All-Conference her sophomore year. 

An athlete who also excels in the classroom, Emma is also a member of the National Honors Society and National Art Honors Society. Emma is a part of the Community Service Club as well at Archmere. 

A graduate of St. Ann’s elementary school in Wilmington, DE, Emma plans to major in Psychology at the University of Cincinnati.
