Drew Duncan ’24 Signs with University of Delaware Lacrosse Team

Drew Duncan, native of Wilmington, Delaware and senior at Archmere Academy, is pleased to announce the signing of his National Letter of Intent to play college lacrosse at the Division I level for the University of Delaware. Delaware’s lacrosse team is well known as a longstanding powerhouse lacrosse program, recently winning back-to-back CAA Championships under Head Coach Ben DeLuca. A multi-sport athlete since freshman year, Drew has been a standout on both the football and lacrosse fields.
Drew has been an integral part of Archmere’s successful football team since freshman year, celebrating the State Championship his sophomore year. This fall, Drew was named 2nd Team All-District Wide Receiver and nominated as Team Captain. The team has one more regular season game to go before they begin their playoff run and compete in the DIAA State Tournament for the title.

A varsity lacrosse player since ninth grade, Drew has been the leading goal scorer on the team for the past two years. His accolades include not only Team Captain, but he was ranked #2 in the state last year along with earning 2023 US Lacrosse All-American honors. He has earned DSAC First Team All-Conference status three years in a row and is a two-time First Team All-State award winner. The Archmere lacrosse team has been ranked for the past three years as a “Top 3” team in the state and has captured the conference title each season. Last year, Drew was named the 2023 DSAC Player of the Year.

Academically, Drew excels in the classroom. A 2020 recipient of the Schulman Group Academic Scholarship from the Anthony Penna Foundation, Drew is a member of the National Science Honors Society and is an Auk Ambassador for Archmere. A graduate of Saint Edmond’s Academy, he plans to study Business at the University of Delaware.
