Football Bounces Back with Win over DMA
At home on Coaches' Field on September 20, the Archmere defense came up with necessary stops as the Auks defeated Delaware Military Academy, 21-6. This game included a pregame ceremony to recognize those First Responders in our local communities who have served and protected. Archmere improved to 3-1 with the win.
Neither team could score in the first quarter. The game moved quickly toward halftime, with the Auks taking possession with a bit more than a minute to go. Mike Lang of the Dialog covered the game and ceremony, and second half details can be found here.
Game highlights included: Quarterback John Orsini '26 completed seven of 15 passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Michael Donovan '26 ran for 115 yards on 10 carries, and Mark Mervine '27 caught three passes for 61 yards. Defensively, Kevin Kozicki '28 had 12 tackles, and Ryan Hagenberg '26 recorded 11. Archmere hosts Lake Forest on September 27th at 11 a.m.
