Bridget Malloy '26 Puts Up 27 Points in Girls Basketball Win

Archmere senior captain Bridget Malloy led the girls basketball team to a record win over Villa Maria (Pa.) on December 6th at home in the Moglia Fieldhouse. The senior scored 27 points and added 13 rebounds as the Auks moved to 2-0 with a 48-36 win over the Hurricanes. This was Archmere's first win over Villa in over 10 years.
Mike Lang of the Dialog describes the start of the game by writing, "The Auks had just two field goals in the first half, with Malloy connecting on both. Archmere also took nine foul shots in the quarter, a result of their control of the offensive boards. They complemented the offense with a tight defense, often holding Villa Maria to a single shot. The Hurricanes could not get much going in the first." This description remained current for the remainder of the game, where when the game got tight, Archmere's defense held fast and strong.

Bridget Malloy had a record night of 27 points, 13 rebounds, 6 blocks and 5 steals. Maddie Benson finished with 8 points and Sara Boyer added 6.
