Baseball Extends Winning Streak

Archmere Academy delivered a commanding performance on Thursday, defeating Tower Hill 10–1 and extending its winning streak to two games.
After a closely contested matchup between the two teams in their previous meeting, the Auks left little doubt this time, taking control early and maintaining momentum throughout the game. The win also continues Archmere’s recent success in the series.

The Auks showcased a strong all-around effort, combining timely hitting with solid defensive play to keep Tower Hill in check. Archmere’s consistency at the plate and on the field proved to be the difference as they built and protected a comfortable lead.

With the victory, Archmere improves to 7–2 on the season and continues to gain momentum as the schedule progresses.

Highlights from AuksSports:
"This was a tightly played game through four innings. Tower Hill started the scoring in the top of the third. The Auks responded in the bottom of the third with a run of their own. Shane Harding led off with a double and later scored a few plays on a sac fly by Kevin Fox."

The Auks' offense continued to score through the 4th, led by a Brecken Kessler triple, and the 5th when Kessler doubled home Luke Kenney and Kevin Fox. The Auks' offense exploded in the 6th with six runs on six hits, including doubles by Silas Aulick and Luke Kenney.

The Auks' starter, Grady Wheeler, pitched a complete game, allowing 1 unearned run on 4 hits, earning his second win of the season. The Auks will look to keep that momentum going when they travel to face Caesar Rodney on Friday at 4:15 p.m.
