Bernadette Patiño Named Preseason Field Hockey Player of the Year

Archmere Academy junior Bernadette Patiño has been named the winner of the Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists Preseason Field Hockey Player of the Year poll. Bernadette earned the most votes in the statewide preseason poll, recognizing her as one of Delaware’s top returning field hockey players.
The honor comes after an outstanding sophomore season for Bernadette. Last fall, she recorded 40 points and earned First Team All-State honors in Division II, establishing herself as one of the state’s premier players.

Now entering her junior season, Bernadette returns to lead an experienced Archmere field hockey team with high expectations for the season ahead. Congratulations to Bernadette on this well-deserved recognition! We look forward to cheering her and the Auks on throughout the 2026 season.
