Alumni Council Hosts Visit with Santa!

Saturday, December 4, 2010 - Visit with Santa was hosted by Archmere’s Alumni Council, under the leadership of Theresa Carroll ’85, along with assistance from the Office of Institutional Advancement. Approximately 50 children and their alumni parents attended, in addition to children and their parents from Claymont’s Stockdale Civic Association. Guests enjoyed cookies, juice, milk and hot chocolate and had the chance to make Christmas ornaments and other arts and crafts projects before visiting with Santa Claus.

 

Santa Claus made his jubilant arrival around noon time by walking down The Patio’s grand staircase. He sat by the Christmas tree and patiently listed to each child’s wish list as they sat on his knee. Each child brought an unwrapped toy, which Archmere’s Student Council then collected as donations towards their annual Christmas toy drive for less fortunate families.
