Participating with 541 high school teams from across the country, the Archmere eleventh graders placed fourth in the nation in the cumulative standings at the end of four meets held this year, placing first in the nation in the year's final meet. The team was supervised by Archmere faculty member, Stephen Klinge. Three of the school's students won highest honors for year-long individual achievement: Seniors Caroline Kirkwood, Michael McGurk and Evi Lowman all placed among the 20 highest-scoring twelfth graders in the entire country in the year-end cumulative standings.
In addition, several Archmere students won high honors for individual achievement in the year's final meet, held in April. Juniors Elizabeth Barr, Alexis Hazel, and XiaoXing Zhao, and senior Lindsey Olivere all earned perfect scores in this meet, while in the whole country only 17 eleventh graders and only 50 twelfth graders did so. Others who achieved outstanding results in the meet included juniors Jamie Glavin and Matthew Walters and senior Bridget Whan Tong.
