Archmere field hockey player Elyse Andrews is this week's WDEL Female High School Athlete of the Week. Elyse scored 5 goals in the Auk's 10-0 victory over Red Lion Christian.
Andrews has 28 tallies on the season, but says her biggest was an overtime winner against Sussex Tech."They're two-time defending state champions and really good. All season we were really looking forward to that game. It was like 'woo, yay, we won!"

The Auks have allowed just 4 goals this season, and Elyse says its senior leadership including herself which is helping the team."All of our defense and midfield came back from last year. We're all seniors so it's motivation to not let anyone in and let our offense do its work."
Archmere has several fall sports in championship contention, and Elyse says there is plenty of spirit in the hallways of the school right now.
