Archmere Female Students Participate in "Explore Engineering Seminar"

The Guidance Department in conjuction with DuPont, participated in the "Explore Engineering Seminar" on February 6, 2012. During this seminar interested sophomore, junior, and senior girls had the opportunity to meet Mrs. Mary Kay James, Managing Direct of Solar Investments for DuPont. Mrs. James came to Archmere to provide our students with a brief look into the many facets of engineering as well some new directions our future is moving in thanks to innovations in engineering. After her presentation the girls were encouraged to apply for the "Explore Engineering Day" which will be held on April 5th. "Explore Engineering Day" gives girls the opportunity to see how engineers made a difference and shape our future! DuPont invites the girls to spend the day learning about engineering, asking questions, participating in hands-on activities, and interacting with female engineers and scientist. The girls will learn just how essential engineering is to our health, happiness, and safety.
