Thankfully for visiting Archmere, senior center Amanda Vaile found her shot in the fourth quarter, hitting three three-point shots to lift the 20th-seeded Auks to a 43-31 win over host Concord.
“It was frustrating,” Vaile said of the early struggles. “We all wanted to make shots and help our team win, but it was tough. Thankfully it started working for me.”
“Amanda had been working on going to the basket more, but she had a breakout game today,” Auks coach Steve Colella said. “That was great senior leadership from her.”
