Returning to its roots as an Estate sale turned out to be a winning idea for the 40th annual sale, a tradition dating back to 1973. Gathering more furniture and larger items to sell greatly increased sales, netting a record $27,565 after expenses. (Last yearthe take home was $16,700.)

Co-chairs Anne Brynes, Maureen Leonard, Judy Voge and Carol Thomson would like to thank everyone in the Archmere community for the amazing feat of pulling this off in one week. From the new moms and dads who came out to help for the first time, to the long time Garage Sale devotees, to the dads who hauled the furniture that got us the big bucks, to the folks who made a meal or donated water for the volunteers, to the Archmere Facilities' staff who greased the wheels, to the families who donated their belongings. Thank you all.
The proceeds are used by the Mothers' Guild to fund items and projects on teacher and staff wish lists. Archmere students will benefit in many, many ways.
