Archmere's Mathematics teacher Mr. Ethan Levine was awarded a Teaching Fellowship in 2009 through the Knowles Science Teaching Foundation while he was pursuing his masters at the University of Pennsylvania. On November 16 and 17 of this year, the 2009 Teaching Fellows of Biology, Mathematics and Physical Science Teaching will meet in Crystal City, VA for their annual fall meeting. The Knowles Science Teaching Foundation offers a five-year fellowship program for early career high school math and science teachers. Applicants are selected for their potential to develop the content knowledge, instructional practices, and leadership qualities of exemplary teachers. The program provides fellows with a nationwide network of support and collaboration with both teachers and experts in the field, as well as funding for professional development experiences and other valuable teaching resources.
