John Nowaczyk: Class of 1987

Professional experience, educational background, and interests:
John Nowaczyk '87 is a Principal with Milestone Partners based in Radnor, PA. Milestone Partners is a lower middle market private equity firm that specializes in making control equity investments in established operating businesses across a wide variety of industries. John has more than 20 years of experience in private equity, investment banking and consulting, primarily with lower middle market and emerging growth companies. He began his career as a Financial Analyst in the investment banking department of Kidder, Peabody & Co. in 1992. Later, he served as an Associate with PaineWebber. More recently, he worked in the investment banking department of the Legg Mason Wood Walker, as a Vice President of the Strategic Advisory Group where he focused on mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Nowaczyk joined Milestone in 2007. John received a Bachelor of Arts degree (Government) from Harvard College. He is a native of Wilmington, DE, where he resides with his wife Ciara O'Connell '87 and three sons.

Candidate's Statement:
Although I have had too little time and too few opportunities in the past 25+ years to express it, I do love Archmere. I think of Archmere often and return to campus for events when I can. My family and I owe Archmere a great deal and I would like to support Archmere, in order to help ensure it can continue its good work. My father, all of my siblings, my wife and my sister-in-law all attended; my cousin is a faculty member. It is a special place, woven into all of our lives and I would like to do a little more to
give back. I now find myself entering a phase of life when I believe I can offer a little more of my time to the institutions I care about, and I think working with the Alumni association would be very rewarding.
