Student Fundraiser Helps Students in Kenya

A tag day was held earlier this fall for 2 places in Kenya: Rhino Primary School and Rafiki AIDS Ministry, an orphanage for children who have lost their parents to AIDS.

During the 2006 Science Trip to Kenya, Archmere students visited and played games with many of the students at Rhino School.  Almost every year since, our tags days have been helping them out.

The donations were gratefully accepted and several "Thank You's" were sent to Archmere:

"Thank you so much for the donations from the students of Archmere Academy. It will be used to complete grades 5-8 of Rafiki Academy which we are building as we speak which included an Art School, a Music School and a computer School.  We are very grateful!"

"Jambo!  We closed school on 22nd Nov for a long holiday until January 2014.  On behalf of the entire school, I wish to thank you and the whole Archmere group for this wonderful gesture.  We need the funds to complete the Kindergarten class. We need windows, door, plastering walls and painting to make it habitable ...God bless you all."
