Archmere Students Earn Scholastic Art Awards

Several Archmere students were recognized with Scholastic Art Awards for works submitted on January 6, 2014. One Gold Key and three Silver Key awards were given to Archmere students for portfolio submissions. Eight students received Gold Key awards for individual works and thirteen students received silver key awards for individual works. Among the individual winners was a Gold Key for sophomore John Vaile's sculpture, “The Animal Within." John was also nominated for the American Vision Award. He is one of five students who have been considered for this award in the region.

The Silver and Gold recipients' works are on display in the Gallery at the Delaware State University in Dover Delaware. On Saturday February 8, there will be a reception and award ceremony for these students at the Arts Center Gallery at Delaware State University in Dover.
