Dr. Jamie Wohlhagen: Class of 2004

A 2008 graduate of Lehigh University, Jamie continued on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2012 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. While serving several roles for the institution including Class President, she achieved Clinical Honors throughout her optometric externships. She is now practicing at Delaware Ophthalmology Consultants in Wilmington, Delaware.
Professional Experience, Educational Background and Interests:

Jamie C. Wohlhagen graduated from Archmere Academy in 2004. After completing her B.S. in Biology from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA, she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2012.

While attending Lehigh, Jamie served as the VP and President of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and mentored students as a Head Gryphon (resident advisor) for incoming freshman. During her time at PCO, she actively participated in several activities including serving as the Class President, the Administrative Assistant to the Contact Lens Department, and a member of the Dean's Student Advisory Board Committee. In addition, she was awarded membership to the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society and received Clinical Honors throughout her externships rotations in the areas of pediatrics and primary eye care. She has has an article published in the Review of Cornea and Contact Lenses. She is currently practicing at Delaware Ophthalmology Consultants in Wilmington, Delaware.

Jamie's family is Archmere proud! She married her Archmere Sweetheart Ryan Emptage '04 and her siblings Kelly Wohlhagen '06 and Jonathan Wohlhagen '09 are all first generation attendees. She looks forward to initiating a new legacy in her family and becoming more involved in the Archmere community.

I believe it is important to help build relationships between students and alumni to offer educational and networking support, encourage leadership, and provide mentorship to enhance the Archmere experience. If elected, I look forward to serving you and becoming more involved as an active member of this special and unique community.
