Student Artist Wins Watercolor Competition

Senior Katie Maurer won the top prize of $1,000 this past Saturday for a watercolor painting that she created on location at the Winterthur Museum. The competition, sponsored by Plein Air Brandywine Valley and the Children's Beach House, Lewes, invited all high school seniors yo spend 5 hours on the Winterthur Museum grounds painting the scenery.
