Chris Butler '93 Named Senior VP, Power Quality Division, Electrical Sector - Asia Pacific Region
Chris Butler has been named senior vice president, Power Quality Division, Electrical Sector – Asia Pacific. Butler will report to Brian Brickhouse, president, Electrical Sector – Asia Pacific, and will be located in Shanghai, China. Butler succeeds Lou Rosen who is leaving Eaton to pursue another business opportunity.
In this role, Butler will be responsible for developing and implementing effective business strategies to continue growing the power quality business.
Most recently, Butler was vice president and general manager, Circuit Protection and Controls Division, Power Distribution, Asia Pacific. Prior to that, Butler was vice president, Power Distribution Marketing, Electrical Sector – Asia Pacific.
“Chris is a proven leader and possesses deep domain knowledge of electrical products and applications, as well as Asia Pacific markets,” said Brickhouse. “We are very pleased to have someone with his capabilities leading our Power Quality business in Asia Pacific.
Butler joined Eaton in 1997 as a member of the Technical Sales and Marketing Program in Los Angeles, California. He has held a variety of roles with increasing scope and responsibility including sales engineer, satellite plant customer service manager, and global product line manager for Heinemann products.
He holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in industrial systems engineering from Virginia Tech.
A successor will be named soon to lead the Circuit Protection and Controls business, Power Distribution Division, Asia Pacific.
