Connor Dennewitz '16 Named The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Student of the Year
Archmere senior Connor Dennewitz was named the 2015 Student of the Year by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The campaign is a six-week initiative in which nominated high school students participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Delaware Chapter. A task force of college students and LLS volunteers select the candidates. The students raise money in honor of a local patient hero who is currently battling or is in remission from a blood cancer.
Connor, with the help of his campaign manager Tori Richardson '16, raised over $50,000 during the six-week competition, earning the title Student of the Year as well as a $2,500 scholarship to the college or university of his/her choice.
