The Archmere girls basketball team, now 10-7, held Charter to just sixteen points as they captured another victory on Wednesday. The Auks were led by Amanda Denning '18 and Maggie Malloy '17, who had eight points each. The 26-16 win by Archmere put an end to Charter’s five-game winning streak.
After a 17-12 lead at halftime, neither team scored for over three minutes. Charter had one basket that was answered by eight Archmere points in a row. The examiner writes: The Auks’ press was too much for the Force’s ballhandlers, and as the turnovers added up, their deficit grew.
In total, eight players scored for Archmere, who play tonight at 6:15 PM at home against Wilmington Christian.
