Conor McAvinue '17 To Perform A Solo With The Newark Symphony

The Newark Symphony Orchestra (NSO) has performed as a community orchestra since its founding in 1966. NSO performs at least eight concerts per season, four of which are in the Symphony Series, which feature a themed program that mixes familiar repertoire and other exciting orchestral gems. On March 6th at 3:00 at Independence School (1300 Paper Mill Rd, Newark, DE 19711), Archmere junior Conor McAvinue will be performing a solo as part of the Symphony Series. He will be performing Paul Hindemith's Der Schwanendreher on the viola.

Guest Conductor for the concert is Ovidiu Marinescu, while Simeone Tartaglione, Newark Symphony's Music Director since 2010, continues to lead the orchestra. Tickets can be purchased on the Newark Symphony Orchestra website.
