The Delaware Foundation for the Visual Arts (DFVA) student connection was initiated to stimulate interest in the arts and to give recognition to the Delaware high school artist. Archmere senior Barbara Boylan, whose Fine Art portfolio was judged as 4th best in the state in the Delaware Foundation for the Visual Art's annual Scholarship Program, will be awarded a $500 Scholarship next Sunday at 1:00 p.m at the Hagley Museum Soda House. The Hagley Museum will be hosting the DFVA's 17th Annual Spring Art Show April 8th - 10th with over 60 professional artists from the Brandywine area, including Archmere art teacher Terry Newitt.
As a scholarship recipient, Barbara may use her award at any school. If she chooses to go the Delaware College of Art and Design, DCAD will match the amount of the DFVA award.
