Decisions for seniors who have rolling applications submitted have begun to trickle in, and thirty students have already received offers of admission. Most Early Action and Early Decision application decisions will be released in mid-December. Students are being encouraged to continue to be engaged in the process, their courses, and to communicate with college admission offices when applicable. At this point 95% of students have submitted at least one application.
The Class of 2018 College Search Process Begins
Wednesday was the unofficial kick-start to the college search process for the Class of 2018. Admission representatives from Fordham University, Quinnipiac University, University of Delaware, University of Richmond, and Wofford College participated in a Q&A panel, sharing their knowledge and recommendations to almost 250 students and parents about the process. Students will have individual meetings with their college counselors over the next two months and parents are asked to attend one of two Junior Parent College Nights on either December 12th or January 12th.
December Focus: Senior Career Experience Day & Alumni College Panel
Seniors will be participating in Senior Career Experience Day on Thursday, December 1st. Students will be visiting seventy-three employers in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington D.C. and New York to gain an introduction to different career opportunities. Thank you to all the Archmere alumni and parents, both past and present, that volunteered to host. On December 15th we will welcome back recent graduates to participate in an Alumni College Panel for juniors and seniors. Members of the Class of 2015 and 2016 will share words of wisdom about the college application process and their transitions to college to better prepare the next wave of Archmere graduates.
