Girls' Basketball Makes Headlines With Win Over Mt. Pleasant

The Archmere girls' basketball team took on Mt. Pleasant this weekend and claimed a 36-28 victory, boosting their record to 8-2. The Auks, lead by sophomore Emma McCann who scored 12 points during the game, went into halftime only up by two points. 

It was during the third quarter that Archmere was able to change the momentum.  WDEL writes, Archmere would then go on a 8-0 run including a quarter ending buzzer beater by Sydney Niumataiwalu and lead 30-22 after 3.

Archmere will next face Concord at home on Friday, January 13th.
