College Counseling hosted the first of three College Coffees with the Class of 2017 on March 16th. Universities have begun to release regular decision notifications and seniors are beginning to consider final enrollment decisions. College Coffees are a way to promote casual discussions about this process. We will also have more formalized discussions with students and families concerning schools, financial aid, and final decisions.
Why Business?
On Tuesday, March 28th at 7pm we will be hosting a Why Business? program to assist students in learning more about business programs, preparation for business curriculums, and potential careers. The goal is to assist students in better articulating their interest in a business field while also motivating them to learn more about this broad academic area. Our panelists include a CEO, a college business professor, a career service director, a young business professional, and a director of admission. Registration is open to all Archmere students and parents at https://pickatime.com/client?ven=11607878&event=305620. We will also be hosting a Freshman & Sophomore Parent Night on Monday, April 10th; registration information will be available in the coming weeks.
Class of 2018
Almost 75% of juniors have completed their family meetings and another 15% are scheduled. We’d like to thank everyone whose meetings were impacted by our snow days for their patience and understanding. Meetings have been extremely positive and we’re excited to move forward with the Class of 2018.
