On May 1st the Archmere community celebrated College Decision Day with Archmere seniors wearing apparel from the schools they’ve decided to attend. Throughout the day, the College Counseling department hosted a photo booth and the reserve assembly day ended with the traditional class photo on the steps of Saint Norbert Hall. Students also celebrated with Rita’s Water Ice and were encouraged to write thank you notes to the people that assisted them throughout the process. The 124 seniors will be enrolling at 73 different colleges in 20 states and three countries. There are also 26 students enrolling at schools where there are no other Archmere graduates attending.

Juniors Participate in Several Programs
Thirty juniors participated in are yearly After School College Workshops on May 15th. Nineteen college admission representatives volunteered to participate in classroom sessions and mock interviews with the students. Every student completed an interview opportunity, and our classroom session topics this year were "The Importance of Supplemental Essays" and "Understanding the Match". That same evening, several families participated in the Wilmington Case Studies and College Fair program that Archmere co-coordinates with several other Delaware independent schools. In total over 500 people attended the evening program.
Career Programming with Sophomores
College Counseling visited all sophomore health classes to complete new career programming with students. The one class exercise was a modification of G. Richard Shell’s "Six Lives" exercise, which attempts to help participants identify their definition of success and happiness.
