Monthly College Counseling Update: March 2018

Seniors are in the Home Stretch!

The last round of decisions will be coming up for seniors as we quickly approach the May 1 enrollment deposit deadline. We encourage seniors to make final visits to college options, attend accepted student programs, and ask questions when they have them.

We are happy to help reviewing financial aid awards, discuss final decisions, strategize about waitlists, and even speak casually about final decisions. We have our first morning College Coffee with seniors on March 23rd and will have another in mid-April prior to our
May 1st celebration.

College Counseling Programming

We welcomed over 50 parents for our Early Financial Aid Night, over 30 for our Visual and Performing Arts Admission program, over 100 attendees for our Why Health Science? program, and over 50 parents for the Freshman-Sophomore Parent Night. Our next program will be the After School Workshop and Wilmington Case Studies program on Monday, May 21st.

Junior Meetings

Snow days have made scheduling family meetings difficult over the past week. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we deal with Mother Nature. We will have the scheduling system open prior to Spring Break and encourage every student to schedule their meeting if they haven’t met with their College Counselor.
