The Archmere Academy Drama Club is excited to announce its fall production of Tina Howe’s Museum, a witty and thought-provoking play that invites audiences to see the world of modern art, and the people who experience it, from a variety of perspectives.
Set inside an American art museum during an exhibit of modern art, Museum follows a colorful collection of patrons as they react to the artwork around them. Some are passionate art lovers, some are completely baffled by what they see, and others fall somewhere in between. Through these interactions, the play explores the purpose and importance of art while celebrating the wonderfully diverse people who make up our world.
This year’s auditions drew 24 students, including eight ninth graders, an especially exciting turnout and, according to the Drama Club, one of the largest groups of ninth-grade performers ever to audition for a fall production.
