Baseball Participates in Community Service Game Honoring Veterans
On Saturday, April 21st, the Archmere Baseball Team held a "Day of Service", in which the team honored community veterans during their regularly scheduled game against Newark Charter. Archmere parent and grandparent Don Small, a member of the 101st division of the US Airborne Screaming Eagles, threw in the first pitch to his grandson, Jack Nielsen '20. The color guard was present during the National Anthem and the baseball field decorated for the occasion. All proceeds from the day were donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
The baseball team (7-4) will travel to take on Hodgson Vo Tech on Saturday at 12:00PM.
