This month the college counseling office held our annual Junior College Panel, which marks the unofficial start of the formal college search process for the Class of 2020. We welcomed five college representatives to answer questions about the college applications, decisions, and searches from students and parents. Juniors will be able to schedule an introductory meeting with their college counselor starting this week.
Parents of juniors will be asked to attend one of two Junior Parent College Nights. The dates are December 6th and January 15th. The programs are identical so there is no reason to attend both. To register - https://pickatime.com/client?ven=11607878&event=330383.
Practice ACT
We’re offering a free practice ACT in December and SAT in January. These tests are open to sophomores and juniors and are different than the Pre-ACT that students take as 10th graders and the PSAT that 11th graders take. To register for either test please visit - https://pickatime.com/client?ven=11607878&event=329810. If there are any questions about testing please contact the office.
Senior Decisions
Several seniors have received positive replies from colleges who review on a rolling admission basis. Most early application schools will release decisions in mid-December. Some students are working on applications with a deadline of 12/1, however, most remaining applications are due after the New Year.
