Archmere's Winter Musical "Chicago: High School Edition" Receives Acclaim
The Cappies, "Critics and Awards Program," is a program through which high school theatre and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows at other schools, write reviews, and publish those reviews in local newspapers such as The Washington Post, Cincinnati Enquirer, Dallas Morning News, Kansas City Star, and The Philadelphia Inquirer. The Cappies program brought students from the Greater Philadelphia area to Archmere this past weekend to review the winter musical production. In this program, the students each write a review, and the best reviews are published in local newspapers and on the Cappies website. Archmere's depiction of Chicago: High School Edition received rave reviews. Archmere has been a part of the Philadelphia Cappies program for the past seven years.
Archmere had a very successful first weekend of the winter musical production of Chicago: High School Edition. Over 700 audience members have come to see the show so far. This year is the first year for a Delaware Cappies program, and they will be coming to this Saturday's performance. The musical runs one more weekend, this Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm.
