Archmere Field Hockey Wins Diamond State Conference

On Saturday, November 28, Emma Gioffre '23 scored the only goal for Archmere field hockey as they took on Wilmington Charter in a thrilling overtime win. It was the final regular season field hockey game for the 11-1 Auks, and the win clinched the Diamond State Athletic Conference Championship.
Mike Lang of the Dialog wrote of the exciting overtime match:

"Archmere’s winner came off a restart. A pass into the scoring circle was knocked around for a few seconds before Kathleen Schaller tapped it to Gioffre. She was able to knock it past Shahan from close range, setting off a green-and-white celebration. The winner came six minutes into the 15-minute sudden death."

Archmere is currently 11-1 and waiting on their DIAA State Tournament bracket information.
