Volleyball Defeats Appoquinimink in Four Sets

Archmere defeated Appoquinimink with little doubt in the first two sets of their volleyball match on October 22. The Auks recovered from that third-set loss with a strong finish, taking the match, 3-1. Set scores were 25-14, 25-17, 18-25, and 25-17. The win capped a successful day for Auks athletics. The boys’ soccer team defeated Newark Charter, 1-0, in double overtime while the volleyball team was playing, and the football team shut out Caesar Rodney, 38-0, on the road.
The Auks’ front line of Ava Beach '25, Cece Connelly '24, Katie Kuehl '24 and Jess Lattanzi '23 was at the forefront of the victory. Abby Garcia '23 added 7 kills while Ella Strohmaier '24 added 4 aces and 5 digs, and Ryan Dalton '23 ended the night with 19 digs.
