Jack O'Neill '23 Signs With Mercyhurst Lacrosse Team
Jack O’Neill, native of West Chester Pa and senior at Archmere Academy, is pleased to announce his signing of his National Intent Letter to play college lacrosse at Mercyhurst University. Mercyhurst is known as a longstanding powerhouse lacrosse program, winning the National Championship for Division II and making three other final four appearances under Coach Ryan.
Before moving to Archmere his sophomore year, Jack attended Malvern Prep, where he achieved Distinguished Honors for academic excellence. In his sophomore year at Archmere, he contributed as a key faceoff player with a 68% win rate at the X and 49 points, earning him First Team All-Conference. As a junior Jack repeated his role as the main faceoff player for Archmere Academy with a 78% winning percentage at the X, over 200 groundballs and 32 points. He helped the team achieve a regular season record of 14-1. This earned him First Team All-Conference for his second year in a row and a Second Team All-State selection.

At Mercyhurst, Jack plans on studying a unique major offered by the school: Business Intelligence. The degree was developed by Tom Ridge, former Head of Homeland Security and Governor of Pennsylvania. Mercyhurst embraced the changing academic environment to become a leader in this new field.
