Homecoming 2010

Saturday, October 16, 2010 - Homecoming 2010 was held on a gloriously sunny Autumn day. Hundreds of alumni and friends gathered to watch Archmere’s sports teams play. For the first time in recent history, Archmere offered an “Alumni Hospitality Tent” located off the back terrace of The Patio. The huge 40’ x 80’ white tent, with tables, chairs and green and white checkered table cloths, decorated with hay bales and pumpkins galore offered the perfect spot for alumni to grab a bite to eat and relax for a bit in between sporting events. The Mothers Guild generously donated baked goods and the OIA offered pizza, hoagies, candy and sodas/bottled waters for sale and the Varsity Shop tent was also doing a great deal of business on Homecoming Day, selling all the latest and greatest Archmere apparel and accessories.

That same evening, over 200 alumni returned to The Patio for their Reunion (class years ending in ’0 or ’5), sponsored by the Office of Institutional Advancement. A delicious buffet dinner was offered by SAGE Dining Services. The class of 1960 continued celebrating their “Golden Alumni” 50th Reunion with a special dinner at Harry’s Savoy Grille after visiting The Patio for the cocktail hour of the Reunion Celebration.
