Elizabeth Bartley of Padua Academy and Megan Stellini of Archmere Academy are two of 15 high school students who will receive the 2011 Governor’s Youth Volunteer Service A ward today (April 21) for their work in Haiti last summer with the Haiti Family Initiative.
Elizabeth Bartley of Padua Academy and Megan Stellini of Archmere Academy are two of 15 high school students who will receive the 2011 Governor’s Youth Volunteer Service A ward today (April 21) for their work in Haiti last summer with the Haiti Family Initiative.
They worked in a summer camp organized for homeless earthquake victims in Jacmel. They ran sports, arts and crafts, and music programs and served lunch each day to more than 150 campers. They also helped volunteer doctors and nurses from Delaware care for more than 2,000 patients.
