Garage Sale Drop-Off Dates

The Mothers' Guild will be hosting two additional drop-off dates this fall: Sunday, September 25 and Sunday, October 23 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Drop-off is at the Maintenance Garage by the lower field on Manor Ave.

Get rid of that clutter in your home, garage or attic and help earn money for the classrooms by donating items to the 2012 Mothers’ Guild Garage Sale!

The 2011 Archmere Garage Sale raised a record-breaking amount in support of the faculty educational “wish list,” thanks to the dedicated efforts of volunteers and the generous donations of items for sale by community members. Over $20,000 was brought in at the sale.

The Garage Sale is organized and run by the Archmere Academy Mothers’ Guild, a group that includes all Archmere moms and has an active governing body. Though the Garage Sale occurs only once a year, there are drop-off dates and meetings throughout the year. The sale has become a community event, drawing a sizeable crowd to the Archmere campus and spilling into the two large gymnasiums of the Moglia Fieldhouse.

The Archmere Mothers’ Guild is determined to top the 2011 record with the 2012 Garage Sale, which will be held in March. The volunteers are looking for donations of sellable items including housewares, linens, kids toys and gear, strollers, books, sports equipment, bikes, Archmere uniform clothes, shoes, jewelry, furniture, outdoor furniture, lawn and garden tools, adult’s and kid’s clothes, televisions, holiday decorations, etc. Any and every donation item in clean, sellable shape with the exception of computer equipment and car seats are welcome!

Instead of making a trip to the dumpster or letting things collect dust in the attic, why not go green and recycle your items for the Archmere Mothers' Guild Garage Sale! Bring your donations to the Maintenance Garage by the lower field on Manor Ave for drop-off!
