James Shaud '12 served the children of Philadelphia as a counselor at Camp Overbrook this summer and received high praise from the camp's leadership.
James (Jim) Shaud '12 served the children of Philadelphia as a counselor at Camp Overbrook this summer.
Camp Overbrook is a 6 week summer day camp sponsored by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office for Youth and Young Adults (OYYA). Its mission is four-fold:

1. To be of service to children
2. To promote an appreciation of diversity through exposure
3. To develop the leadership ability of each counselor
4. To build the counselors’ faith through the service of the campers and each other
The leadership team at the camp said: "Jim is an inspiring, hard working young person. His willingness to serve children and grow in their ability to lead reveals something very positive about who he is and the community from which he comes."
