Archmere students named to Wilmington Children's Chorus

Nina Reed '12 and Giuliana Brawley '14 have been accepted as members of the execeptional youth choir for the 2011/12 season.
Nina Reed '12 and Giuliana Brawley '14 have been accepted as members of the Wilmington Children's Chorus for the 2011/12 season. This exceptional youth choir's curriculum "not only emphasises music literacy and exceptional singing, by also seeks to build important life skills such as professionalism, teamwork and individual responsibility." The multi-cultural choir is a project of CityFest, Inc. and the Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs for the City of Wilmington.

Highlights of the upcoming season include:
  • Performances with teh Delaware Symphony Orchestra and First State Ballet Theater at the Grand Opera House
  • Annual Winter and Spring Concerts
  • A weekly accelerated-level curriculum led by experienced and respected music education professionals that challenge each student to build their music literacy and vocal technique while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and responsibility.
  • Regular exposure to a wide array of languages, cultures and ideas from different eras of human history.
