2012 Alumni Sports Banquet & Hall of Fame

The 2012 Archmere Alumni Sports Banquet and Hall of Fame was held on Friday, February 3 in The Patio. Five individuals who have made incredible impact on Archmere's sports' history were inducted: George Fantini '52, Tom Lewis '62, Irene Suchta Masterson '82, Nick Trainer '83 and Jim Malseed. Introductions were made by legendary coaches E. John Walsh and Paul Pomeroy, and the event was emceed by last year's Hall of Fame inductee, Mike Hare '79. The 1987 Archmere Football team, arguably one of the most memorable in the school's history, was also honored. Coach Larry Cylc and John Rollins '88 spoke on the team's behalf and 18 members of the team were present. The event was attended by almost 140 guests, including Vice President Joseph R. Biden '61 and Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden '87.
