Archmere Students Win Honors at WordMasters Challenge
Several Archmere studnets recently won honors in this year's WordMasters Challenge, a competition for American high school students requiring close reading and analysis of many different kinds of prose and poetry. In the year's third meet, held in February, senior Caitlin Hedgepeth, who only made one mistake, placed among the 47 highest-scoring twelth graders in the entire country, while junior Jason Andrechak was one of the 115 highest-scoring eleventh graders and senior Alexa Hazel one of the 149 highest-scoring twelfth graders. More than 54,000 students from 46 states (and four foreign nations) entered the meet.
