Archmere Volleyball Puts up a Fight in Tough Match with Ursuline

FROM THE NEWS JOURNAL: "The Ursuline volleyball team knew Archmere senior Emily Gerard would be at the net, waiting to stuff its attack.Gerard earned five blocks, but the fourth-ranked Raiders found plenty of openings in a 3-0 victory over the third-ranked Auks on Thursday night. The game scores were 25-19, 25-18 and 25-19.

“Even when we got blocked, we just kept on attacking,” said senior Mary Abram, who led Ursuline with 12 kills. “They’re all really good players, and Emily Gerard is really big, so we just had to work around her and not hit into her block as much.”
