Cappies review: Archmere Academy updates ‘You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown'

"What cute gang stole the stage last Saturday? Why, it was Charlie Brown and all his friends! Archmere Academy produced the zany musical comedy “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” Based off of Charles M. Shultz classic comic strip Peanuts, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” was made into a musical comedy in 1967 with music and lyrics written by Clark Gesner.

The culmination of small humorous vignettes from each of the characters resembles the quick humor form of comic strips. Archmere created their own special twist on this classic show by including modern and older versions of each of the lovable characters.

Featuring a cast of energetic performers gifted with solid vocal talent, this show entertained the audience throughout the performance. None of the actors showed any reservation in playing their crazy roles to the fullest. Each main actor impressively commanded the stage during solos and soliloquies."
