Archmere Senior Volleyball Player Commits to McDaniel
Archmere senior and Wilmington native Sarah Donnelly ’14 has committed to play the position of setter for the McDaniel College volleyball team next fall. Sarah has been awarded a four-year academic scholarship.
During her Archmere volleyball career, Sarah was a four-year varsity letter recipient on the perennial powerhouse Auk team. She was team captain and earned two All Conference recognitions. Sarah was also team captain of the Archmere softball team, receiving two All Conference honors in the sport as well.
In addition to her athletic accolades, Sarah was awarded a Gold Key from the Scholastic Art & Writing awards for excellence in the visual arts. She has excelled in the classroom while at Archmere, earning cum laude honors as a sophomore and junior and summa cum laude her senior year.
Sarah said she loved McDaniel’s strong sense of community on campus, and particularly with the volleyball team. She plans to major in some field of science with career aspirations of working with children with disabilities.
