Freshman Conor McAvinue '17 Awarded Viola Scholarship

Violist/violinist Conor McAvinue '17 recently auditioned at the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia for a viola scholarship in their Advanced Study Program. He ranked first overall among all violists who auditioned for the program. As a result, Conor has the choice of playing viola for one year filling viola vacancies beginning this July in an SMS string quartet, the Auger Contemporary Music Ensemble, or the Trowbdrige Chamber Orchestra.
