AP French Students Spend Immersion Day in Philadelphia

The AP French students furthered their study of the "l'esthétique" course theme by participating in a French immersion day in Philadelphia on November 12th. Students interacted with Francophone speakers from around the globe at Sofitel Philadelphia, and tasted a variety of French delicacies at the Liberté Restaurant -- they even got to meet the pastry chef! Finally, students enjoyed a visit at the The Barnes Foundation on the Parkway. There, they explored the collection and furthered their understanding of impressionist techniques and the role the movement played in European art history. Students are currently taking their experience one step further by exploring an impressionist painter of their choice.
