As a student at Archmere, Meredith played field hockey, basketball and softball, serving as co-captain of all three teams during her senior year. Meredith was a varsity starter for four years in softball and was named twice to All-Conference teams. In her senior year, Meredith was named Honorable Mention All-Catholic in basketball.

Meredith was also a varsity starter in Field Hockey for three years; capturing All-Conference honors her sophomore year. During Meredith’s junior and senior years, she was named to the First Team All-Conference and First Team All-State teams. In her senior year, the Delaware High School Field Hockey Coaches nominated her to the All-American Team. Meredith received the Archmere Sports Medal at graduation.
Meredith went on to attend Davidson College where she played Field Hockey and was named to the All Deep South Conference team her freshman year.
In 1998, Meredith obtained a B.A. in English from Davidson and began working in the Sports and Entertainment field in Philadelphia with Comcast-Spectacor where she currently serves as the Senior Manager of Projects and Planning.
Meredith is married to Kevin Smith and they have a son named Brandon. Meredith and her family currently reside in Garnet Valley, PA.
