Archmere's 2013/2014 Varsity Soccer Teams Are Double Honorees for National Academics Award

A total of 335 soccer teams (142 boys, 193 girls) from throughout the United States have earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2013-14 academic year. Among these programs are 53 schools receiving honors for both their boys and girls teams. As a double honoree, Archmere's Boys and Girls 2013/2014 Varsity Soccer Teams are repeat award winners.

The Lady Auks had a GPA of 4.01, compared to 3.93 the year prior. The Boys' Soccer team had a GPA of 3.62, compared to 3.57 the previous year. The recognition is posted online by the NSCAA during the time of the Soccer National Convention that takes place every year in mid January.  To qualify for the award, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.25 for the entire academic year.  The team GPA is determined by adding every player’s GPA, then dividing by the number of players.
