Archmere Students Earn Awards at New Castle Science Fair

Twenty five students from Archmere presented research experiments at the New Castle County Science Fair held at the Delaware Technical Community College. More than 100 members of the community annually volunteer as judges in their area of expertise. The judges evaluate the projects and question students about how they arrived at their scientific conclusions, then award prizes in each category.  This year, four Archmere students were commended during the New Castle County Science Fair Award Presentation last night.  The Archmere students finished in the top three in his/her category and have qualified for the regional science fair in Philadelphia.  Maddie Guido '15 placed 3rd in Biochemistry,  Matt Oslin '15 placed 2nd place in Botany, Greg McCord '16 placed 3rd place in Botany, and Matt Groum '17 placed 3rd in Environmental Science.

Winners in the Delaware Technical Community College Science Fair are invited to attend the regional Delaware Valley Science Fair in Philadelphia in April. Winners from the Delaware Valley Fair are invited to attend the International Fair, usually held in May.
